Students and early career
Deciding what to do with a life, and whether faith has anything to say about a career. They arrive with the most questions and the least certainty that their work counts.
GOERS exists because the conversation about calling kept happening in separate rooms. Students in one. People halfway through a career in another. The ones who went overseas thirty years ago in a third. We put them at the same table, and the conversation changed.
Deciding what to do with a life, and whether faith has anything to say about a career. They arrive with the most questions and the least certainty that their work counts.
They have already built something: a practice, a company, a classroom. Now they are asking whether it was the right thing. This is the group most likely to assume mission happened to somebody else.
Decades overseas or in the pulpit. They carry stories nobody else has. Almost nobody under forty asks them for one.
In the room

To connect Asian Christians and help them follow what God is asking of them. We gather, we grow, and we go out with something worth bringing.
People who live on purpose in every job, culture and country. People who bring something good wherever they land.
What we hold to
The research behind it
Everybody already calls the top 1%. The next band, 1 to 5%, gets plenty of calls too. We are after the 5 to 10%: people on their way to leading a city, a company or a field. The tiers are our own framing, not measured shares.
Of every hundred young Christians we meet, most will serve God through a job, not a pulpit. A few will go into ministry or cross-cultural missions. We need both. The 90/10 split is our working estimate, not survey data.
In 2019, Lausanne's Michael Oh, one of the 1% in paid ministry, apologised for treating the other 99% of believers as the support crew. Two weeks later, Lausanne's Global Workplace Forum in Manila had 848 participants from 110 countries, and 65% of the near 900 who answered worked outside churches or ministry groups.
Each group already has a calling. Most have never been told so, let alone helped with it. The 75% figure is an ISI estimate and the 75 to 85% is practitioner consensus, both as gathered in our Graduation Cliff pilot brief. US student counts are from IIE Open Doors 2025; world-leader counts are from HEPI's 2026 Soft-Power Index.
